What are the odds of seeing two total solar eclipses in one lifetime?

Even more remarkably, the first one happened on the very first day I arrived in the United States. Seven years later, I was lucky enough to experience totality again. There is something surreal about watching the sky suddenly go dark in the middle of the day, definitely something photos can never fully capture.
